Eric,

I couldn't agree more. A picture says a thousand words. I booked a South Dakota bed and breakfast a few months back - 100% from the photos. The website was a bit sloppy, but the photos really captured the area. I am thinking of adding a photo gallery with area attractions to our website for the relocation buyers. I think it will give them a better idea of the location they wish to move to.

Great article!

Eric, I find myself agreeing with you a lot. I'm waiting till I can disagree with you one of these days. To agree with your point, I design outdoor websites and hunters love photos, scenery, landscape... they need to "feel" or "sense" the actual product... like they were actually there.

http://www.buffalobutte.com/location/

In this example, a potential customer would actually feel like it was his or her dog sitting on a hay bail. It make sales, plain and simple. Unfortunately, my call to action area is a tad low on the page.
